Crappies are being caught on the inlets, in the channels and at the marinas. Try using a small slip bobber tipped with a small minnow. There also has been some reports of some good bluegill action, although size seems to be running on the small size.

Whitebass are all over the system right now, and they have the feed bag on big time. If your looking for some fast action and a good time, get to the river or get under the 41 bridge and start harvesting some fish today. Most are using river rigs, but they seem to be biting on just about anything you toss at them.

Several of you have asked me about having another crawler harness seminar. If there is enough interest in this, I will schedule another one for you all. There is a $40.00 cost for this class, but it does include all materials, instructions and a seminar on how to run harnesses and Scootchie rigs, how different blades work and why to use different blades at different times, and also some inside information on where to troll and why. Shoot me an E-mail today and if we get enough people together, I will set up the class. We currently have one person signed up.

We are still in need for volunteers for our upcoming event called Kids Wish for Fish. This is a great event where we are taking out 30 kids in our area that do not get a chance to go fishing. If you are willing to volunteer your boat, time and expertise, please contact me at axlman623@hotmail.com. The kids thank you and so do all of us involved in this event.

I have guided fishing trips available on Lake Winnebago. I have some new spots that I am anxious to find and start fishing for Walleyes this fishing season in 2008.
